Starting with the April first web release of Instructional Sounding, FetishForce began weekly updates with Tony Buff produced content. With only two exceptions, all of these weekly web updates will be content produced by our team. This change from bi-monthly to weekly updates also represents a dynamic shift to the management of the FetishForce premium content site and a substantial ‘value add’ for our membership and we are excited to share this news with our friends.

April also marked the soft launch of the FetishForce/Recruits tube site. This FetishForce associated tube site is designed for the solicitation, submission, archival and distribution of Pro/Am related content from fetish/Sm players from throughout our network of operations with free access for the FetishForce membership and those who we recruit to create content. We are definitely going to be on the hunt for players over Memorial Day weekend in Chicago.

Our crew for the weekend includes the entire cast of Industrial Encounters; Cameron Adams, Leo Forte, Drew Cutler and Doc Benway. My boys Chris and Gloria along with our pup Element will also be joining us to help keep me sane and to provide some camera work and production assistance so we can document and share our experiences in Chicago.

We have a very busy and exciting schedule of events lined up for this weekend. It is filled with great opportunities to reconnect with old friends, engage with the people who are inspired by our work and represent our brand of kink and community. Industrial Encounters is a series of three interlaced vignettes that will comprise the DVD feature release; these vignettes will also stream as weekly serialized updates for the FetishForce site. Each vignette was specifically written for the players selected to perform in them, and we couldn’t have asked for a better cast. Each man is not only a highly talented performer, but also an experienced fetish/Sm player with a history of play with their scene partner.

Cameron Adams is the shining star of The Shaft, the vignette that opens and closes Industrial Encounters. It is a story of fear, seduction, physical challenge and reward. I had met Cameron several times before we shared a weekend together by happenstance over Halloween in Ft Lauderdale last year. We seemed to hit it off immediately, and I was struck by his ability to light up a room like a candle on a dark night. He was sweet, engaging, a joy to hang with and the best sex I’d had all year with someone who wasn’t wearing one of my collars. By the time the weekend was over I had become totally infatuated with this blonde-haired, brown-eyed boy and knew he would be perfect for the scene stewing in my head that serves as the centerpiece of The Shaft. Cameron demonstrated a tremendous amount of trust in me when he agreed to do the scene and an even greater amount of strength, stamina and endurance when I actually suspended him from the rafters of the freight elevator shaft and then dropped the elevator five stories below… I love you, boo. Thank you.

When I met Leo Forte at a Grabbys’ event in Chicago last year, there was another immediate connection. Forte is a swarthy Latin stud with the playful energy of a pup and the constitution of character. I remember he gushed about my work in the industry when he approached (which actually caused me to blush a little) and latched on like a stray looking for guidance. Forte walked the Grabbys’ red carpet with our crew that year, and I’m thrilled that he will be walking with us again this year, this time as a part of the Industrial Encounters cast. I’ve watched as Forte took on performing in the fetish genre over the past year with a focus and intent unlike any I have seen before. He has developed not only a talent for performing in front of the camera but also an incredible fetish/Sm skill set and understanding of this thing of ours far beyond what would be expected for a man of his experience.

Paired with Leo Forte in Electrical Room, the second vignette of Industrial Encounters, is his real-life partner, Drew Cutler. Cutler isn’t so much a pup, but a full grown dog. Cutler approaches play with the same mischievousness of a pup but with the strength, rigor and abandon of a sporting dog in his prime. I’ve watched Cutler grow a lot over the past year not only as a performer in the industry but as an active, contributing member of San Francisco’s leather community, and I’m proud of him. I also couldn’t think of a better pairing for Electrical Room. Forte and Cutler deliver the same raunchy, playful energy I’ve witnessed in our private play and a connection that resonates more powerfully than a violet wand. And I love the switchiness of this vignette where Forte tops the scene as a bottom until he just needs a good plowing, which Cutler is more than willing to provide.

Finally, in a vignette that could have easily played out off-camera in the wet storage basement of the Black Eagle during any one of my trips to Toronto, Doc Benway and I engage in some of the heaviest and most intense play of the feature. Doc and I have known each other for several years now, which made capturing this level of play possible. He likes his impact play hard and his sex wet and rough, which makes us one hell of a pairing. He’s a raunchy punk with a gritty edge and an engaging presence that makes him one of our favorite boys to play with during my travels. Having Doc on-set for Wet Storage was a personal highlight for me during the production of Industrial Encounters. For those of you out there who enjoy the heavier side of this thing of ours, I’m sure you won’t be disappointed by the addition of Doc Benway to the cast.

Of course, the cast weren’t the only contributors to this film. My personal, heart-felt thanks and deep appreciation go out to Tony Dimarco for his contributions. In addition to lending his expert cinematography to the project, Mr Dimarco provided me a ten-day intensive crash course on the art of editing and the use of Final Cut Pro. Industrial Encounters is, quite literally, the Director’s Cut. Had it not been for Mr Dimarco’s tutelage and patience, the project would never have been completed on time. And speaking of editing, my thanks go out to Elliott McAllister, who not only edited the two solo bonus scenes included in the DVD but was also an indispensable resource during the color correction process. Those of you who know I’m blue/green color-blind will understand just how indispensable his contribution was to the final edit of the feature.

Yet another major contributor to the film was Maxi of Remixlab, who composed the original score for Industrial Encounters. I can state without hesitation that the tracks Maxi laid down for the feature blew me the fuck away. From the sultry almost foreboding sounds for The Shaft through the raunchy rhythms for Electrical Room and animalistic weight of the beats for Wet Storage to the tender yet haunting composition for the final scene, Maxi’s score punctuates and enhances the story and play arch of the entire film.

Sidebar: Remixlabs is planning a release of the Industrial Encounters soundtrack via iTunes to coincide with the feature DVD release of the film. Yeah, it really is that good.

During my three years with Titan, I performed in twenty-four features. These included the fetish mega-hits Fear, Folsom Prison, Folsom Undercover, Triage, Folsom Flesh, Folsom Maneuvers and Slick Dogs. I also appeared in Breakers, Bruce Cam’s xxx directorial farewell and the first all-male adult feature shot in high-definition released on Blu-Ray. And I had the tremendous opportunity to work with the legendary director Joe Gage on three separate projects, Chainsaw, Home Invasion and Battle Creek Breakdown.

Just two years ago, my co-director and dear friend Paul Wilde and I set out to document contemporary BDSM play in the men’s community with the Rough line for Titan. The Rough line debuted with the nearly concurrent releases of Fist and Piss and Shock Treatment in June of 2009. Fist and Piss is filled with content worthy of its title and a few innovations like Chris Yosef being fisted while in full-suspension Shibari rope bondage in addition to some creative piss play. Shock Treatment is a deeper exploration of pleasure and pain through some of the heaviest and most advanced Sm scenes involving electrical stimulation.

Bound and Beaten pushes the limits even further with outdoor bondage and intense impact play. From our darkest fantasies of abduction and rape, through brute force, gun play and pain, to the point of ecstasy and release, Abuse of Power delivers a unique glimpse into the way men play together on the edge.

The fifth Rough feature, Pierced, pushes the documentation of contemporary BDSM in the men’s community to the very edge, capturing three of the most extreme scenes that incorporate play piercings as anchor points for bondage in a stunning exhibition of the scope and power of sadomasochistic play. Deemed too rough for DVD, Pierced was never released on DVD and was only available via Video on Demand for a short period. Never before has this type of play been so thoroughly, comprehensively and beautifully captured on screen.

Anal Assault provides a thorough examination of ass play with a glimpse into the variety this type of play offers with plenty of fucking and fisting, toys, and even a fucking machine. Filthy Fuckers gives us yet another glimpse into the sometimes dirty and nasty but always erotically charged experience that is play in the men’s fetish/Sm scene. BFF: Bound, Flogged. Fisted reexamines the rollercoaster ride that is created when a skilled top manipulates the hormonal responses in his or her bottom to create heightening waves of intense euphoria that build to a moment of catharsis. The ninth Rough feature, Kennel Master focuses primarily on Puppy Play and the creation of head-space within fetish/Sm scenes.

With the tenth Rough feature, Invasive Procedures, which includes scrotal inflation, sounding and fire play, my vision for the Rough line has been realized. Paul and I have created an impressive body of work thanks primarily to the players who shared both their experience and their intensity with us on set.

My thanks go out to Paul Wilde as this chapter of my life comes to a close. His technical knowledge and theatric contributions to the Rough line were instrumental to its development, and I am grateful to have been partnered with him. I am also indebted to the skill and dedication of the entire team of film makers and editors at Titan. The talent of these individuals brought the production quality of Rough line to unprecedented levels for features of this type.

My deepest appreciation goes to Brian Mills for his mentorship. I can’t thank Brian enough for his encouragement, guidance and friendship. Brian, if you are reading this, please know I have learned at least as much from you as you have learned from me. Ours has not just been a collaboration on projects, but a sharing of lives over the course of the past three-plus years. I hope you understand how much I appreciate all you’ve offered, how much you’ve taught me and how much I want you to be a continued part of my life moving forward even if we aren’t working together.

Finally, I want to express my gratitude to Keith Webb and Bruce Cam for providing me the initial opportunities to contribute my talents to the industry and to offer the Rough line to my fetish/Sm community. Keith, I know you have always had the best interests of Titan in your heart. I believe that with the Rough line we were able to capture the same gritty reality that you envisioned with Devil in the Rain and Fist Dogs; and I know the content we created will be of value to the Titan catalog for years to come.

Bruce, when I first joined Titan as an exclusive you told me, “Here at Titan, we make stars.” At the time, I had no desire to be a porn star; I just wanted to bring responsible BDSM and a safer-sex message to our brothers in my community. I never imagined our work would lead to such recognition or possibility within the industry. I can’t thank you enough for helping to position me for the prospects ahead.

My decision to accept the position as Director of Fetish Production at Falcon / Raging Stallion and Managing Director of FetishForce.com represents a dramatic shift in my approach to producing fetish content and my commitment to building a community of players. Partnering with the world’s largest producer of gay male erotica means I will now be working full-time with my own production team and the best players in the world to bring you the best in fetish content. We have already begun production on episodic vignettes for online distribution via FetishForce which will also be cut as full-length feature DVD releases. And our crew is now putting in place the infrastructure necessary to produce both Pro/Am and educational content for the FetishForce community. There are indeed great prospects for the New Year.

In regard to the inspiration behind the central scene for Kennel Master, my personal thanks goes out to Steven Daigle. Steven appeared in the television reality show Big Brother 10 and made his adult industry debut in Chi Chi LaRue’s Steven Daigle XXXposed earlier this year. Shortly after that feature was released Steven contacted me through Twitter asking if he could talk to me about a fantasy he wanted to fulfill. As we spoke on the phone, Steven told me about how he had a taste of puppy play while using a puppy tail butt plug and was fantasizing about experiencing ‘a full-on scene.’ When he asked if I could help him make a complete transformation into the head-space, I knew exactly what I wanted to do for our ninth installment in the Rough line.

As we shot our scene in San Francisco at the Titan studio, I knew instantly that we had made the right choice in capturing it on screen. The scene is a quintessential example of what I hoped to accomplish with the Rough line. It captures this thing of ours as it actually exists in play spaces around the world with a focus on the psychological aspects of our play. With my current contract for the series coming to a close and the uncertain availability of Pierced, I was determined to capture some heavier play, especially since the last few have primarily focused on piggy sex (Filthy Fuckers), examined a variety of ass-play (Anal Assault) and explored role-play and fantasy (Abuse of Power). I believe that together with what we have already shot for Rough 9 and what we have planned for my last foreseeable project with the line, the first ten features of the Rough line will accomplish exactly what I had hoped to do with the series… document a survey of contemporary play in the men’s BDSM community.

Daddy Jeff Henness and Dan “Puppy” Daniels, the owners of Dog House Leathers, were kind enough to continue the tradition of holding leather community Meet & Greets at their shop for NWLSb/CBB, as they have for our Washington State Mr|Ms Leather contest since they opened the store-front outlet for leather, fetish and BDSM equipment and wear. Dog House was also one of our gracious community business sponsors for the event. I have a hard time calling Daddy Jeff and Puppy a “Corporate Sponsor” as the official language of the event would suggest. Such language would imply some huge disconnected entity instead of acknowledging the presence in our community that is Dog House Leathers. The Dog House is a “dad and pup” shop that doesn’t just supply our needs, it feeds our souls. From the people they employ to each person they provide a service to, Daddy Jeff and Puppy have earned a place in our community that demands respect. While I had no official responsibilities this past weekend, my brother Gene Romaine, who serves as the producer of the contest asked me to make the introductions at our Meet & Greet Friday evening (photographed left courtesy of Malixe). Our judging panel for the contest was headed by the current International Leather Sir and Seattle resident, Hugh Russell. In the spirit of full disclosure, I will claim Huge as a brother in the Dragon clan and while I would never question his objectivity, I would expect him to be my pup’s harshest critic and told the pup as much. Joining the judging panel from Florida was ILSb Co-Executive Producer and past International Leather boy, Bill Hoeppner who also won Pantheon of Leather Man of the Year in 2009, a distinction far more prestigious than any Grabby or GayVN in my world. Mentor, artisan and lover of rope, Monk of twistedMonk.com for whom I have the utmost respect and who’s rope I highly recommend whether for purchase or personal application, agreed to join the panel. Past Northwest Leather boys Dominic Chevalier and Dan McGuire served on the panel as did Northwest Community Bootblack 2010 Ray “Scout” Hudson. Our host venue for the contest Saturday evening was the Cuff Complex, another of our community/business sponsors for the event. Former Oregon State Ms Leather, Lynda Hale and 2009 International Ms Leather Lamalani served as the emcees for the evening as members from our community competed for the three titles at stake. We had three strong and well-known contestants step up for the 2011 Northwest Leather Sir title. Darian, Stan and Enrique have each been leaders within our local community in their own ways, and the competition was tight. Element and Kent stepped up to run for the 2011 Northwest Leather boy title, and I was impressed by both. Both of these boys are fairly new to our scene, but both represented themselves with integrity and the unique nature of our Northwest players’ community with a sense of understanding and pride. Dylan from Portland competed against a pre-determined standard to serve as the 2011 Northwest Community Bootblack, needing to score over seventy percent of the total possible points in order to take that title (photographed left courtesy of Malixe).

Side Bar: I will make no secret of my hopes and aspirations for my pup Element through this past weekend. Over the course of the past two years I have introduced Element to our local, regional and national scene. I have mentored his growth, encouraged his exploration and welcomed him into my own leather family. I could not have been more proud of his performance. There is truly something special about this new role of mine that I have never really understood until now. Whether it be watching my boy Timmy blossom into a leather boy of my dreams, Chris Yosef develop an understanding of the spiritual nature of this thing of ours or the pup step up to serve the community I’ve helped bring him into, the personal sense of accomplishment and success is overwhelming (photographed right courtesy of Malixe).

In the end, before a packed, standing-room only crowd at the Cuff, Darian Hawke, Element Eclipse, and Dylan Ritchey prevailed in their quests to become the 2011 Northwest Leather Sir, Leather boy and Community Bootblack, respectively (photographed left courtesy of Malixe). My personal congratulations go out to each and every one of them. There is no doubt in my mind that each will serve and represent our Northwest community with distinction over the course of the next year and well into the future. Our players’ community here in the Pacific Northwest is unlike any other of which I am aware. The character and commitment displayed by everyone who came together to make this past weekend possible exemplify why I love the region I call my home. My thanks go out to each and every one of these people whom I consider my community of family and friends.

Titan Media dominates the Best Fetish Release category with both Slick Dogs and Shock Treatment among the nominees. Slick Dogs is a dark yet colorful fetish production directed by Paul Wilde for Titan’s main line. It features rubber gear designed by International Mr Rubber 2009, Stephane Donaldson, and scenes taken directly from a rubberman’s wet dreams. Paul’s directorial style is clearly evident in this, his second solo directorial effort. Like Triage, Slick Dogs demonstrates both Paul’s unique contribution and Titan’s influence upon his work. He masterfully captures the essence of fetish in Slick Dogs as only an experienced player can and documents the sexual content with a distinctively Titan-esque signature. I was thrilled to be a part of Slick Dogs and congratulate Paul on the recognition.

Shock Treatment, the second feature in the Rough line I co-directed with Paul Wilde for Titan, is also nominated for Best Fetish Release. This nomination is particularly pleasing for me on a personal level. Shock Treatment is a quintessential example of what we have attempted to accomplish with the Rough line… document contemporary BDMS play in the men’s community by capturing real scenes with real players. Shock Treatment contains some of the most electrifying examples of the types of scenes engaged in by the most experienced and heaviest players in the international fetish and Sm scene. It is a vivid portrayal of the passions and connections shared by those players who engage in the intense extremes on the edge of pain and pleasure. To have our efforts recognized by the industry is a professional honor for which I am personally grateful.

In the category of Best Duo Sex Scene, I am nominated along with Will Parker for our scene in Folsom Flesh. I haven’t seen any of the other scenes nominated in this category, so I can’t make any comments of comparison. I can, however, share my belief that my scene with Will in Folsom Flesh is one of the most stunning depictions of hardcore fetish/Sm ever captured on screen. This is due primarily to the connection Will and I developed almost instantaneously and the level of play that connection fostered. Having worked with Will on several occasions, it comes as no surprise to me that he is nominated in the Best Newcomer category, and there is no doubt in my mind that the expertise of Titan’s production and editing departments contributed exponentially to the scene itself. I’m happy to see those contributions recognized through a Best HD Release nomination for Folsom Flesh.

Of course, the highest honor for me from the GayVNs this year is being nominated for Performer of the Year along with Dean Flynn (a fellow Titan exclusive), Kyle King, Steve Cruz and Wilfried Knight. To be named among such notable performers is, indeed, humbling.

Since I may not have the opportunity to acknowledge and thank those people who contributed to the work that has led to these nominations on stage, I’d like to do so now. First and foremost, my personal appreciation goes out to those who shared their moments of intimacy whether through a scene with me personally or as a player in the Rough line… most notably, my boy Chris Yosef, our pup Element, Derek da Silva, Will Parker, Alessio Romero, Adam Knox, Billy Berlin and Tibor Wolfe.
