Skills Classes

Bondage for CBT

Tony Buff and Derek da Silva cover a range of ties and applied techniques for cock and ball bondage in this presentation. Whether used to enhance those certain parts of the male anatomy or to torture them, these simple yet fully functional ties will let you restrict, compress, pull and secure all those nasty bits. Bring a male sub or, if you’re a guy, practice on yourself. This is definitely a hands-on class with plenty of opportunity for practical application. A 6′ piece of “rat tail” should allow the practice of most techniques.

Play Piercing Basics (taught through comedy)

Tony Buff and Derek da Silva present play piercing techniques and safety by taking turns demonstrating on each other. This class will take a lighthearted approach to learning safety and technique and seeks to demystify play piercing even as it explores the deep connections formed in a play piercing scene. This session should be fun, funny and hot… at least if you like blood!

Needles for Bondage

This advanced presentation focuses on techniques applied when utilizing needles and play piercings for anchor points and bondage. Tony Buff and Derek da Silva review risks and safety considerations while applying best practices and clean/sterile techniques to demonstrate a variety of creative applications. This is an interactive lecture styled presentation without practical application. Participants are, however, encouraged to participate in other ways. Muhahaha! Please be advised, this class is intended for advanced Sm players and is not for the faint of heart.

Impact play

Impact play is a common yet commonly misunderstood part of the fetish/Sm scene. Whether delivered with bare hands (our personal favorite) or through a variety of implements designed or perverted to do wicked and nasty things, impact play can create strong physical, emotional and mental connections. In this introductory class, Tony Buff and Derek da Silva deliver a demonstrated review of safety, implements (and where to get them), and basic and advanced techniques to provide a comprehensive examination of impact play and how it can be used in a scene. This is not a hands-on class.

Punching and Other Strikes

This intermediate class covers how to throw punches and other strikes without injuring the bottom or the top (no, really, the top can get hurt by punching with bad technique). Tony Buff and Derek da Silva utilize hands, feet, elbows and knees to demonstrate a variety of strikes used to create scenes with intense physical intimacy. The anatomy for striking will be covered as well as basic safety and risk considerations. This is not hands on class, but participants are sure to discover nuances that can help propel these types of scenes to new levels.

Suturing Basics

When Tony Buff and Derek da Silva play doctor, you know there’s going to be more to the scene than scrubs and a stethoscope. In this advanced class, participants will learn how to run sutures, throw surgeon’s knots with hemostats while gloved and design fiendishly freaky medical fetish scenes with an edge. The class will review risks, safety considerations, best practices and clean/sterile technique in addition to providing participants with an opportunity for practical application on fruit skins.

Shibari Fundamentals I, II & III (three related hands-on classes)

I. Basics: Simple Knots, Basic 1 & 2 Column Ties, and Tie Offs for BDSM.

This is an introductory class that simplifies rope bondage down to its most basic elements. There are limitless possibilities in the creative use of few basic ties. All you really need are a couple of simple knots and a few simple ties to have a ton of fun. Tony Buff and Derek da Silva will show how most bondage is done by combining a few basic building blocks… and show very easy-to-learn ways to do them. Then they’ll show how these can be combined in endlessly creative ways. Ties covered include a simplified one-column tie, a simplified two-column tie and a basic tie off. All of these are done using only two different knots – yet they can be used in various applications, including a spread-eagle bed tie, a hog-tie, a chair tie, and many other variations.

II. Intermediate: Exploring Upper and Lower Body Harnesses.

This intermediate class takes a different approach to Shibari. Rather than teach complete ties, Tony Buff and Derek da Silva will teach you how to adapt and construct ties on your own. Even the most complex of ties can be broken down into a few key pieces and techniques. By understanding core building blocks like wrapping, frapping, cinching and folds you can learn to improvise in ways that express your creativity and that allow you to address the strengths and limitations of your partner. This class teaches a foundational philosophy of bondage that breaks away from rote ties and instead shows how you can unleash the full potential of Shibari as an expressive erotic art.

III. Advanced: Partial/Full Suspension Techniques.

This advanced class builds upon the foundations taught in the two previous classes. Tony Buff and Derek da Silva demonstrate the techniques used to rig partial and full suspensions that facilitate other aspects of play. Participants will be guided through two interactive sets of rigging to help foster a basic understanding of safety considerations, foundational concepts, fundamental ties and how these elements are brought together to create suspension scenes. Each rigging set will include an opportunity for practical application. Participants are encouraged to practice the techniques taught in this class under the instructors’ guidance.

“Soft” Topics

Polyamory, Family and Organizations (building the communities that feed your soul)

This is a presentation and guided discussion on building relationships, leather families, extended families and community organizations that fit your needs and the needs of your community. While it is easiest to follow examples, many social traditions… even many leather traditions… don’t match everyone’s needs. Tony Buff and Derek da Silva discuss how to identify your needs and the steps you can take to create social units that fulfill those needs. This is an interactive lecture style class, and participants are encouraged to share their own personal experiences.

How the fuck do I teach this Shit?!

This is a class on teaching BDSM skills in your community. Teaching can seem daunting, but it’s one of the most important things we can do. This is a combo of presentation and open discussion on how you can best teach BDSM skills in your community. Individuals who present workshops in their local communities are encouraged to attend and share their experiences in this guided, interactive discussion.
