Chicago, IL –- This afternoon I performed in the PEOPLE*S Theater of Chicago's staged reading of Doric Wilson's A Perfect Relationship as part of the company's Legacy Project. This has been a true honor for me since the Legacy Project works to promote and preserve the legacies of GLBT playwrights and performers with a focus on raising awareness pertaining to GLBT issues both social and political.

I played Greg opposite AK Miller's Ward (photo right). The rest of the cast included Bonnie Varner as Muriel, Benjamin Sprunger as Berry and Brian Conley as Tom, Richard & Hank (photo below). Brian also directed the reading which was held at the Leather Archives & Museum.

Generally, staged reading don't generate much interest but this one attracted a larger than expected audience and for good reason. The play is a fast paced journey that confronts the stereotypes of masculinity, sexuality and friendship with humor and heart.

I understand the company is planning a fully staged production of the play next summer. Could it be yet another reason to move to Chicago?
