Seattle, WA -- Thanks to a tremendous amount of help from a lot of people, I was able to organize and host Coming Out in Kink last night at the Cuff Complex. The event, a joint fundraiser with the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence Abbey of St Joan (right, in part), raised nearly six hundred dollars for the Sisters' Charity Grant Fund and the Scott Rodriguez Memorial Scholarship Fund. On the Abbey of St. Joan's anniversary, the Sisters issue grants to non-profit organizations throughout Washington State from contributions made to their charity fund. The Scott A. Rodriguez Memorial Scholarship Fund, administered through the Pride Foundation of Seattle, awards six scholarships yearly. Three are awarded in the category of Leadership and three in the category of Athletics.

The success of this event is due in large part to the generous product donation and marketing assistance provided by TitanMen.com. It is also a testament to the volunteer contributions made by the members of my community of family and friends. The Sisters were out in force selling raffle tickets and jell-shots. Northwest Community Bootblack, Henry was on-hand servicing boots. The patriarch of my leather family, Gene Romaine flogged willing participants for donations (photo left). And, of course, my boys Derek, Jeff, Rich and Steven stepped up and volunteered to help out along with two of our extended family, Gabe and Johnny. Together, they brought a very special approach to the sale of raffle tickets.

All this, however, would not have been enough to pull it off if it had not been for the support of Daddy Jeff & Puppy of Dog House Leathers and the entire staff at the Cuff. This event was an ambitious undertaking given my other responsibilities associated with producing the Washington State Mr & Ms Leather Contest this week. I am truly grateful for the quality of character displayed by those with whom I choose to share my life.
